As long as take a few precautions when shipping your 8mm, 16mm, or Super 8mm film for transfer to digital formats such as DVD, Bluray or mp4, everything should go smoothly, and your film will be safe.
Just like ensuring your film stays dry during storage, moisture and humidity are factors in shipping as well. Although you should never store your film in plastic, it should be in something like a Ziploc bag during transport, to keep the humidity, during transit stable.
Bubble mailers or envelopes are not recommended. Ideally, you should pack your film into a sturdy box, lined with newspaper, bubble wrap or packing peanuts. This will provide good cushion for the film while the box is being handled.
Once you make a purchase, you’ll get an email from us with a UPS shipping label, and all you have to do is attach it to your box! If your order is over $200, we’ll even pick up the shipping – both ways!
You’ll receive confirmation from us when your order has been received. Once we’re all done, we’ll notify you that your order has been shipped back to you, and you’ll have a tracking number as well.
